Three considerations for eating hot pot
First, meat dishes should be paired. When eating hot pot, there is indeed no meat, but meat (and other meat foods, such as meatballs, seafood, etc.) should not be too much, and the average should not exceed one plate per person (recommended an average plate for two people). Vegetarian foods (vegetables, soy products, potatoes, vermicelli, etc.) can be more, on average more than one plate per person, of which more fresh vegetables, not just as an embellishment, more than one plate per two.
Second, don’t eat the last soup of hot pot, like the following. At the end of the hot pot, the soup is mellow and delicious, but it contains a lot of purine. Purine is metabolized into uric acid in the body. Normal levels of uric acid in the blood are harmless, but too much uric acid increases the excretion burden of the kidneys and increases the incidence of gout (or hyperuricemia).
Third, adjust your seasoning dish. Most hot pots need to be eaten with seasonings, such as sesame sauce, seafood sauce or hot sauce. This is one of the keys to eating a good hot pot. Seasoning and meat quality, the combination of the dishes, the soup composition and the shabu-shabu together constitute the five major elements of the hot pot.
