   1. Drink plenty of water in a short time. A basic function of the large intestine is to recover the water in the feces. Usually drink more than 3000 ml of water every day.    2. Consciously eat more staple food at every meal, coarser grains are better. Many people with constipation do not dare to eat more. Staple food (especially coarse grains such as corn, millet, oatmeal) contains more dietary fiber, the latter is one of the main components of feces. Increasing the intake of dietary fiber, increasing the volume of fecal mass in the large intestine, and stimulating the peristalsis of the large intestine are one of the fundamental methods to relieve constipation.

   3. Eat a lot of vegetables, fresh raw is best. Vegetables are also rich in dietary fiber. Ingest a large amount of vegetables (such as more than 1 kg) at a time, especially those with high fiber content, such as shallots, small cabbages, small carrots, celery, spinach, pumpkin, leek, chrysanthemum, Kidney beans, onions, rape and various wild vegetables can effectively relieve constipation.

   4. There are some foods that contain more dietary fiber, such as bananas, sweet potatoes, radishes, mushrooms, fungus, kelp, konjac, yam, burdock, etc.

   5. Use yogurt instead of milk. Yogurt (lactic acid bacteria drinks are also available) contains live lactic acid bacteria, which is the main force of normal beneficial bacteria in the large intestine. Supplementing lactic acid bacteria can improve the characteristics of feces and promote fecal discharge. Certain live bacteria preparations (medicines or health products) can also play the same role.

   6. Do not eat irritating foods such as garlic and chili during constipation, and do not drink tea, coffee and carbonated beverages, to reduce the stress on the large intestine.

   7. Long time Physical activity or relatively intense exercise is also an effective way to relieve constipation.

   8. Avoid mental stress. In addition to mental stress caused by specific causes, constipation itself can cause a lot of mental stress, thereby exacerbating constipation. It should be recognized that constipation is a very common symptom, just like fever and cold. In general, it is not directly related to serious illnesses such as bowel cancer. Of course, if constipation is particularly stubborn or constipation and diarrhea alternate, you must go to the hospital to see a doctor.
