The common incidence of breast adenoma is middle-aged, and the time from onset to presentation is about 2 years. The symptoms are mainly periodic pain, breast lumps and menstrual disorders. Periodic pain is mainly manifested by the increase of breast pain before menstruation and the increase of mass, and the decrease of pain after menstruation and the decrease of mass. This periodic pain usually manifests differently because of the specific condition. Breast lumps often appear as multiple, which can affect the breasts on both sides but can also be single. The lumps are generally smaller. The shape of the lumps varies, and the edges will be blurred. The hardness of the lumps varies.

For example, lobular hyperplasia-type masses are tough; fibrous adenopathy-type masses have moderate hardness; sclerotic adenopathy-type masses are hard and sometimes misdiagnosed as breast cancer. In terms of menstrual disorders, lobular hyperplasia patients often have irregular menstruation, shorter menstrual periods, and fewer menstrual periods. There are three main treatment methods, medication, surgery and hormone therapy. Drug therapy is generally used, and surgery will be taken when drug therapy is not effective. Hormone therapy is the least recommended and not considered in special cases.

The symptoms of breast cancer are more complicated. The early stage is mainly breast mass, breast pain and nipple discharge, which are similar to the symptoms of breast adenoma. Then there will be nipple erosion and nipple retraction. At the same time, there will be some skin changes caused by breast cancer, usually there will be skin adhesions, superficial varicose veins, skin redness and skin edema, etc., and there will be swollen axillary lymph nodes.

In short, we should correctly understand and treat breast adenoma and breast cancer, and understand the difference between them, as well as the difference in pathology, so as not to miss the best opportunity for diagnosis and treatment and get the best diagnosis and treatment.
